The above step will protect you but the auto play or auto run of media /cd/dvd will n't work but don't worry you can always manually open a valid media (driver cd, game setup cd etc.) by browsing to setup file. Warning: This trick will not remove from PC which is already infected by some virus but it will only prevent the autorun.inf (or any .inf) file to run that may have executable virus file path.
