If you have recently removed a program called rogue anti-spyware, you may know this annoying “Open with…” dialog box which appears every time you try opening a hard disk drive on your PC. “Open with…” notification can be easily explained as a result of messed up autorun command which is done after the virus attack. If terrible “Open with…” dialog box starts showing up, follow this tutorial to solve this problem and restore your infected hard disk drive as well.
For Windows 7 / Windows Vista OS:
- Click Start.
- In the Search box, type CMD and then press Enter.
- Type attrib and press Enter. Command will return drive files you should “heal”.
- Type command attrib -s -h -r *.* This will simply reset all the files in the drive.
- Delete all the files having the SHR attribute, just type del file.extension After that, virus which infected the files will be removed.
- Restart your computer.
