An SWF file is a Shockwave Flash file. Such files contain video or game data that can be played by opening the file. If the file cannot be played anymore because it is corrupt, you can fix it yourself. There are many programs readily available for free that will restore the file to its original glory
- Rebuild SWF files with Unstoppable Copier. Select the hard drive containing the SWF file. The program will repair all corrupt files on the hard drive, including the broken SWF file.
- Recover SWF files with ICE ECC. Once you've downloaded the software, program it to scan for broken SWF files. It will repair them.
- Revive SWF files with DriveRestore Professional. This program will scan the entire hard drive for broken files. When it comes in contact with them, it will repair them.
