Create a System Repair Disc in Windows 7

You never know when your system will crash, with a Windows 7 system repair disc handy, you will be able to access to Windows 7 diagnostic tools like Startup Repair, System Restore, MBR Recovery, Windows Memory Diagnostics and Command Prompt.

The Windows 7 system repair disc should be created the first thing when you install Windows 7 or when you bought your system. You will only need a regular blank CD since it will not take up a lot of space.

To create a system repair disc in Windows 7, just follow these simple steps:
  1. Insert a blank CD or DVD in your optical drive.
  2. From Start button, on the search box type in: recdisk.exe and press ENTER key. This should bring up a Create System Repair Disc window.
  3. Or you can also go to Control Panel -> Backup and Restore -> Create System Recovery Disc. This method might be easier to remember because you will forget the recdisk.exe in the future.
  4. Now click on Create Disc to start the Create System Repair Disc process.
  5. Click Close when it finishes and take out the disc and label it to save it in a safe place.

You can also access from here :
  • Click on Start -> All Programs -> Maintenance.
  • Click on the Create a System Repair Disc shortcut.
Maintenance can also help you create a system backup disk. It's recommended to prepare a system disk as a backup for future system re-install or diagnostic.
